Richard's debut recording with the Choir of Christ Church Southgate - The Heavenly Architect.


​​​​Based in north London, Richard Brain is a specialist Choral Conductor, whose portfolio includes Director of Music of Christ Church Southgate, Musical Director of Barnet Choral Society and Bishop's Stortford Choral Society, and Vocal Coach for the Twyford Church of England Academies Trust. Richard directs hundreds of singers on a weekly basis, exploring music from Renaissance polyphony and madrigals, Baroque classics and the great oratorios to works for children's choirs and modern commissioned works.

He studied Choral Conducting on the renowned MA Course at the Royal Academy of Music where he was awarded the Irene Burcher Prize in 2013. Previously, Richard was a Choral Scholar in Gloucester and then Exeter Cathedral Choirs, before singing as a Lay Clerk in St Albans Cathedral.
