​​​​Based in north London, Richard Brain is a Conductor, Vocal Coach and Workshop leader. His extensive portfolio includes Director of Music of Christ Church Southgate, Musical Director of Barnet Choral Society and Bishop's Stortford Choral Society, and Director of Chapel Music at The Peterborough School. Richard directs hundreds of singers on a weekly basis, exploring music from Renaissance polyphony and madrigals, Baroque classics and the great oratorios to works for children's choirs and modern commissioned works.

He studied Choral Conducting on the renowned MA Course at the Royal Academy of Music where he was awarded the Irene Burcher Prize in 2013. Previously a singer, Richard was a Choral Scholar in Gloucester and then Exeter Cathedral Choirs, before singing as a Lay Clerk in St Albans Cathedral.
